We are now offering TCU unlocks for all VAG Gen2 DQ500, DQ38x, and AL552 controllers at our Newmarket location. Unlocks must be done here in-house via direct connection to the gearbox, removing the OBD block and allowing you to tune with the software of your choice.

Follow the steps below and stop letting your TCU hold you back!

Steps to use this service:

1. Select your TCU and place your order to reserve your TCU unlock. If you are unsure which TCU you have, please contact us with your VIN before ordering and we will assist.
2. Once your order is placed, our service department will contact you via email to schedule your appointment. The unlock process requires the vehicle to be raised on one of our hoists, allowing us to connect directly to your TCU to perform the procedure. This process is 100% reversible and does not require any physical modifications to your vehicle.
3. After your TCU is unlocked, OBD reading and writing will now be enabled, allowing you to flash your transmission with the tuning software of your choice! We have tuning options available in-house for an all-inclusive experience.

Note: The 2022+ AL552 is only able to be read/written via bench mode. For these TCUs, an OBD unlock is not possible.
