Domestic/International Shipping
We ship worldwide! Please note the following before ordering:
We are not responsible for duty charges incurred when importing products to your home country. Duties charges are determined by the importing country, not by us, and come along with purchasing internationally.
If you have concerns about whether you will be charged for duties by your country's import authority, we highly recommend looking into your local import policies before ordering. We will not cancel or refund orders because of any duties you incur. Any shipment refused or returned due to duty charges will be subject to an additional shipping charge to cover the expense of the goods being returned to us. We adhere to strict guidelines in regards to declared customs value and will not undervalue shipments as a means of reducing import costs.
US SHIPPING IN 2025 - IMPORTANT
Due to US import policies changing at the drop of a hat, many US customers have been incorrectly charged COD fees by the shipping carriers (FedEx/UPS/DHL). GAS products are made in Canada, and we always include the required paperwork to apply all available tariff exemptions. We work night and day (literally) to stay on top of these changes and to make sure our paperwork provides all of the information the border needs to clear our products properly with the correct amount of duties.
If you feel you’ve been overcharged for duties, immediately reach out to the carrier and have them verify that they’ve correctly identified the attached paperwork. If any further information is required, please reach out to us right away so that we can provide it (again) to the carrier. This will prevent delays and send-backs.
Step 1: Email UPSDFWASPLEADS@ups.com with your tracking number as the subject line. Let them know you've been overcharged for duties and that it will need to be corrected. Please CC bill@garageautosports.com so that we can provide follow-up support. This has been found to be the fastest method to get the 50% duties issues resolved.
If the shipper refuses to remove the charges despite valid valid documentation (extremely rare if at all), you can file a protest with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within 180 days of the entry date.
- Use CBP Form 19 (Protest Form).
- Attach your supporting documentation (invoice, origin certificate, correspondence with UPS).
- File with the port of entry listed on your UPS import paperwork.
CBP nearly always upholds protests when proper USMCA documentation exists.
In addition to normal duties and taxes, the US has implemented "emergency" Section 232 tariffs against steel and aluminum products coming from every country in the world. This means that they will be taxing the value of the raw steel and/or raw aluminum inside each product, in addition to the value of the product itself. GAS products are exempt from duties/tariffs on the value of the product itself (being made in Canada), but may not be exempt from certain Section 232 tariffs.
Example: Importing a set of GAS High Flow Cats for your B8.5 S4
Total product value: $1699.95 USD
Total value of raw steel contained in the product: $128 USD
Total applicable Section 232 tariffs on your import: $64 USD
These values are an example only. Exact duties & tariffs will vary based on your location, the judgement of US Customs & Border Protection, and whether you get tariffed at all to begin with.
We will not be raising the prices of our products to include the cost of the new US tariffs. As the buyer you are responsible for any costs incurred to import our products into your country. The US is not the only country we ship to, and raising our prices to cover US tariff costs would punish our customers in every other country in the world that doesn't charge tariffs on Canadian products.

Since all GAS parts are manufactured in Canada, they are exempt from certain import taxes under certain trade agreements, including the one between the US and Canada. We do our best to include COO (Country of Origin) & USMCA declarations with every shipment to avoid the charging of duties & taxes within these countries. That being said, any shipments valued over a certain threshold can be subject to handling fees by the importing country. This is called the De Minimis value, and is out of our control.
For a list of the currently estimated De Minimis values, please see this article from the Global Express Association
UDPATE FOR US RESIDENTS: The De Minimis value has been determined "unfair" by the US government and has been eliminated for all US imports from all countries as of August of 2025. All imports into the US will now be subject to duties and taxes regardless of the value.
If you have concerns about a shipment that required the payment of charges, or if you have any questions about our shipping policies, please don't hesitate to contact us here and we will be happy to help.
By placing your order, you agree that you as the receiver are solely responsible for any and all fees, duties, tariffs, or other charges that may come along with your order.
