Refund policy

Returns

Our return policy is valid for 30 days. We cannot offer any refund or exchange after this period.

(i) To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. If a part has been installed or assembled, on a vehicle or otherwise, the part will NOT be eligible for a return.

(ii) If the item is damaged or the condition is not as described upon inspection (as determined by us (Garage Auto Sports Ltd, herein referred to as GAS)), at which time the item will be sent back to the purchaser and no refund will be issued for product or shipping. Return shipping to the purchaser will be covered by GAS.

Non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Certain items at the discretion of GAS


To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer before receiving prior authorization from GAS.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable): 

  • Any item not in its original condition, or is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after deliver
  • Any item that has been installed or used

 

Cancellations

Due to the bespoke nature of our products, cancellations are not permitted after 7 days from the date the order is placed. Certain exceptions may be permitted, however a cancellation fee of 20% will be deducted from the refund amount. This fee covers our payment processing costs, time and materials spent on processing/queuing/building the product, and time not spent building other orders. This fee is non-negotiable.

 

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 

If approved, a refund will be processed and applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 30 days. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If the return is not approved for reasons listed above, your part(s) will be returned to you at the expense of GAS, and no refund will be issued for part(s) or shipping. 



Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund after 30 days, first check your bank account again. 

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

 

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at sales@garageautosports.com and send your item to:

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a digital gift certificate will be sent to you via email.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, the refund & notice will be sent to the original purchaser.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

 

Missing Item(s)

If you suspect an item in your order is missing, first log into your customer portal on our website and check your order history. From time to time we will split orders up into multiple shipments depending on box size/weight and product availability. Also, certain products may drop-ship directly from the manufacturer to avoid you having to pay excessive duties or taxes. In these cases you may receive part of your order ahead of the rest. This is normal and the rest of your order will follow!

If you do not believe that your order was split and you are definitely missing items, notify us immediately. We provide a 30 day grace period from the time that the order was delivered, after which we will consider the order closed and any missing items will need to be re-purchased.

 

Fraud/Theft

If you didn’t receive your package and you suspect that it was stolen or signed for by an unauthorized party, you must follow these steps to be eligible for a refund:

  1. Contact your local police department. We will require a police report to submit to the shipping company. 
  2. Once we have received the police report, we will initiate an investigation with the shipping company. This part can take a little while as the company reviews the report and the information provided and checks their delivery records. 
  3. If the shipping company determines that this was an act of theft, they will conclude the investigation and issue the insurance payment. At this time we will issue you (the buyer) a full refund for the product and shipping. 

We are unable to issue any refunds without the prior steps being completed in full and in the correct order. We will not initiate an investigation with the shipping company without a police report. This is to save you time and expedite the process.
